STORY OF THE APOSTLE PAUL IN TOWNSEND: The Passion Play in the Smokies is offering up a preliminary production in anticipation of its August opening: "A.D., The Story of the Apostle Paul," is based on the cantata by Sterling and Carr (with additional script written by Mark Pedro, director and producer of the Passion Play in the Smokies) and includes the resurrection of Christ, the major events of the apostle Paul and his teachings and the early church. It's taking place at 7:30 tonight and 7:30 p.m. Friday and July 12 at the Passion Play Amphitheater, on Bethel Church Road in Townsend, and tickets are $12 adults/$5 children 12 and younger, or $11 for adults who bring a canned food item for the local food ministry. The program teaches women cancer patients techniques to help restore their appearance and self-image and also how to deal with sociological side effects experienced during treatment.
