Elizabeth 'Betty' Jean Cawood

Elizabeth (Betty) Jean Cawood, age 73, of Maryville, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2008, at her home. She was a member of Grandview Baptist Church. Ms. Cawood worked at Homestead Air Force Base, Veterans Hospital, Miami, Fl and Wells Fargo in Maryville, TN. Survivors include sons, David W. Greene and Terry M. Cawood; daughters, Melanie R. Dempsey and Connie Baker; grandchildren, Cassandra, Faith Ann, Stephanie, Kevin, Daniel, Heather, Autumn, Eric, Erica, Michelle, Justin and Chelsea; great grandchildren, Timothy, Tyler, Savanna, and Ellis and special friend, Sandy Rogers. Family and friends will meet Tuesday, May 13, 2008, 1:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery for a graveside service, Rev Charles Lawson officiating. Ida Mae Miller, age 80, passed into eternal rest on May 10, 2008, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She leaves to cherish her memory daughter and son-in-law, Patricia K. and William P. Handlee; grandchildren, Alan, William, Elizabeth, Chynna; great granddaughter, Serenity, all of Atlanta, GA; sister, Mary Lou Dalton, of Baxter, TN; brother, Garland B. Elizabeth Rachel McMillan Miser, born October 3, 1915, in Crete, NE, passed away Friday, May 9, 2008, at Blount Memorial Hospital.

Michael Dewayne Potter, age 47, of Maryville, passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2008. He was preceded in death by his parents: Claude H. and Edith Dodd Potter. He is survived by his children: Jason Jennifer Potter, Amy Red Deadrick, and Katie Potter; eight grandchildren; sisters: Patricia Potter and Paula Click; several half brothers sisters; special friends: Sandra Lambert, and Lisa Gasche. Don H. Tinsley

Don H. Tinsley, age 87, of Louisville, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2008, at U.T. Medical Center. He was a veteran of WW II and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps as a pilot. He also retired from the Tennessee Air National Guard as a Lt. Col. He was the owner and operator of Don H. Tinsley Commercial Roofing Company of Knoxville for 50 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Louise Tinsley, his parents and one sister. He is survived by: friend and secretary of 25 years, Doris Finger; caregivers from Personal Care Choices, and friend, Charles Taylor, of Knoxville. Family and friends will assemble for graveside service and interment at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2008, at Sherwood Memorial Gardens with Military Honors. The Military Chaplain will officiate.
