HELLTOWN HOWLERS AT BARLEY'S:The story of the Helltown Howlers, performing at 9 tonight (with Whitey Mac and the Boozehounds) at Barley's Taproom, 200 E. Jackson Ave. in Knoxville's Old City: "It started when we got a good deal on a doghouse bass. We started playing our favorite rockabilly songs in the dining room. It got to be a regular thing. We wanted to get a rockabilly/psychobilly band together, since Knoxville, and East Tennessee in general, was pretty low on bands playin' that type of rock. Through a suggestion of a friend we got hooked up with our drummer, we got together a few times and everything seemed to click. We started writing songs, drinking a lot at practice, and having a damn good time." Admission to the show is free. Call 521-0092 for more information.Class Offered
