Buchanan-Whisnant

Misti Renea Buchanan, daughter of the Rev. Dale and Teresa Buchanan, of Friendsville, is engaged to marry Brandon York Whisnant, son of Harry and Alana Whisnant Jr., of Bristol, at 5 p.m. May 24 at RIO East. Invitations have been sent.

The future bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Endsley, of Friendsville, and Helen Buchanan, of Townsend.

The future bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Whisnant Sr., of Elizabethton, and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Lambert, of Bristol.

The bride-to-be is a 2003 graduate of William Blount High School and a 2007 graduate of East Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in criminology. She is employed with the State of Tennessee as a DCS case worker for abused children in Bristol.

The bridegroom-to-be is a 2001 graduate of Tennessee High School. He is a registered CNA and PCP, employed with Frontier Health Adolescent Drug and Alcohol Recovery.
